Our Team
Dedication. Expertise. Passion.
We are Brazilian friends living in Dublin, Ireland and we are passionate for voluntary work and supporting other people in need. Coming from different educational and professional backgrounds, we believe we have all the tools and skills necessary to deliver this project.
Our Story
Our Mission
Our strength lies not only in the words we stand by, but most importantly in the actions of our initiatives. From the moment we started our work in April 2024, we understood that by working together we could overcome our challenges much more efficiently, and that is why we ultimately decided to launch Mission Africa - Project Malawi. We strive to make a positive change in all of our pursuits.
Our Impact
Meaningful Work
Recognizing the enormity of the challenges our society faces, Mission Africa - Project Malawi is dedicated to making a lasting impact. While our efforts are driven by our organization's focus, we spread a wide net by investing in a variety of programs.
Empowering Locals
Creating Change
We recognize education as a crucial factor in enhancing quality of life. Currently, 33% of men and 37% of women in Malawi are unable to read. By building this school, we are helping the people of Malawi transform this challenging situation.
Fostering Growth
Driving Progress
Workforce employed to build the school, as well as materials to be used in the construction are primarily going to be sourced locally. The goal here is to support direct economic growth, develop local business and qualify building professionals.
Building Capacity
Enabling Expansion
This model of fundraising and resource allocation can be expanded and replicated in the future, driving future inclusions, such as more classes and other locations also in need. We have big plans!
The project
The school will be located at Chidzanja Parish in the township of Balaka, Southern part of Malawi. This place is conveniently and strategically located closer to roads connecting three of the most disadvantaged districts in accessing education. These are Balaka, Machinga and Mangochi. As such, this school and offering ethos automatically stands out as a pull factor to motivate both the poor, disadvantaged and school drop outs to return. For two classrooms, the maximum capacity is 100 learners. The target amount should be enough to build the school using local workforce and resources whenever applicable. Construction in planned to begin in Nov-24 and start classes by the 2nd half of 2025.
